Having a water source on your property promotes deer traffic and dependency. Our Wild Water® System holds 100-300 gallons of water and provides enough trough space for multiple deer to drink at the same time. Keep your herd hydrated and healthy with our Wild Water® Mineral Supplement and you’ll have plenty of activity in the fall.

Where to Place It

Place your Wild Water® System far enough away from a tree line or trail so that the deer have to walk through your property to get to it. If you place the water system too close to the edge of your property, you won’t have very much room to hunt them. You shouldn’t hunt them when they’re actively drinking from the water system because then they will associate that area with danger. You want to give yourself enough room to hunt them during their walk from the edge of your property to the water system.

Alternatively, you want the deer to be able to escape into the woods if they feel threatened. If your water system is too far into your property, the deer may not be confident enough to venture that far from safety. About 20 yards from a tree line is a good estimate. Set up a trail camera nearby to observe the deer behavior. If you see them at the edge of the tree line, but not at your water system, consider moving it closer to the trees.

Features and Installation

The new Wild Water® 300 holds 300 gallons of water and has two 3 foot troughs to maximize the amount of deer that can drink from the system. The float valve system automatically shuts off when the troughs are full and will open again when it senses they need more water. You can also choose between two 100-gallon options with either a 3 foot trough or a 7 foot trough.

The Wild Water® System is incredibly easy to set up. Set the trough on level ground and place the tank over the two troughs. Attach the two float valves to the outlet holes, then fill the tank and plug it. The water will automatically stop when the troughs are full. If water does overflow, check to make sure the troughs are level. Finally, install the two float valve protection covers. You can view the full instructions in the manual.

Our Wild Water® Fill Tank or Wild Water® Bladder will fill the system quickly and efficiently. Each holds 100 gallons of water. You can easily transport the Wild Water® Bladder around your property and secure it with the included D-rings. Once you’ve filled the water system, you can fold and store the empty Wild Water® Bladder.

Benefits

Deer set up their bedding areas close to water and food sources to avoid traveling. If you place a Wild Water® System on your property, the deer herd will be more likely to create their bedding areas somewhere in the vicinity, increasing the probability of deer activity.

The salt and other minerals in our Wild Water® supplement will cause the deer to become addicted. They will constantly crave the salt in the water and associate their health with your system.

Strategically placing a Wild Water® system on your property will keep your herd healthy and active. Place the system close enough to the tree line, but far enough into your property to make them walk, to set up perfect shot opportunities in the fall. Deer will be more likely to make their bedding areas nearby to be close to your water source.
