The year is almost over, but there’s still time left for some late season hunting. Keep the warm glow of the holiday season going by setting up the Banks Outdoors products you received for the holidays (or gifted to yourself.) If you still have tags left and it’s still hunting season in your area, you can be back out in the woods in your new Banks Outdoors blind before the New Year.

If you were gifted one of our blinds, like the Stump 2, one of the first things you’ll notice is that we’ve done our best to provide comfort and easy to use features. The Stump 2 is comfortable for two hunters and has a walk-in door that makes it easy to enter and exit the blind. The ease of use is evident by looking at the design of our blinds and that ease of use begins at set-up.

What You’ll Need

Assembling your Stump 2 requires minimal hardware. The only tools you need are a 1/2” nut driver, a flat-head screwdriver, a Phillips screwdriver, a drill with a 1/4” drill bit, a 7/16” wrench and a 3/8” wrench.

The set-up time for each of our blinds varies slightly, but it shouldn’t take longer than 30 minutes to set up any of our blinds. This means you could be hunting out of your new blind the same day you receive it.

The Steps

Setting up your Stump 2 can be done in three easy steps. First, bolt the shelf into the wall. Next, attach the door handle to the door. Then, attach the grab handle on the outside of the blind. Once you’ve completed these steps, your blind is ready to use!

Elevating Your Blind

The steel plate on the base of the blind makes elevating it a breeze. The plate is durable and sturdy enough to mount onto a frame, such as our Steel Tower System. You can dismantle the Steel Tower system and place your blind back onto the ground as easy as you put it up.

If you’d like to elevate your blind, set the blind on its side and slide the green-treated 4×4 posts into the steel pockets on the base of the blind. Then, screw them in with lag screws. If desired, you can cross brace each leg for extra support.

Final Touches

For added protection from the outside elements and extra sound-proofing, line your Stump 2 with our Wall Insulation. To install the insulation, wipe down the walls and follow the cut-sheet for placement. Crack and peel the back of the insulation to reveal the adhesive, then stick the insulation to the wall.

If you received a Banks Outdoors blind for the holidays, you could start reaping the benefits and enjoying your gift before this year’s hunting season is over. The easy set-up allows you to start using it the same day and doesn’t require extensive engineering to build.
