Any hunter can attest to the fact that staying concealed and stealthy on a hunt is a top rule for a successful harvest. If you can outwit a deer’s sense of smell and sight, you’re one step closer to having wild game meat on your dinner table. Check out our guide below for how a Banks Outdoors Phantom Window can help you enhance your concealment on your next hunt.

One-Way Adaptive Viewing

Our Phantom Windows are designed for one-way viewing. This means that the deer can’t see in, but you can see out. You can stay concealed from the deer without sacrificing any of your viewpoints out of any of the Stump blind’s many windows. The windows are constructed from a tinted, acrylic material that allows the window to adjust to the ambient light. The acrylic will maintain its greyed out, solid, opaque appearance whether it’s sunrise, direct afternoon sun, sunset, or even cloudy. No matter the weather, the Phantom Window will always appear completely closed off from any animal outside the blind.

Since many states’ legal hunting hours are 30 minutes before sunrise and 30 minutes after sunset, you’ll be able to fully capitalize on dawn and dusk as the sun changes. Dawn and dusk are some of the busiest times of the day for deer activity, so being able to stay concealed during the natural light changes is key to a successful hunt.

Opens Silently

You’ll be able to leave your windows closed up until the very last second when the deer comes into shooting range. Keeping the windows closed will allow any sound and scent to stay concealed as long as possible. Our windows open silently, so you can open them with the deer right by your blind without needing to worry that the sound will scare them off.

Because the deer won’t see you inside the blind, they could be encouraged to come right up beside your blind, narrowing your shooting range and making the hunt more accessible for hunters of all skill levels. If you’re taking friends or family members who are new to hunting out for a trip, it increases the likelihood they’ll be able to take part in the harvest within their shooting range.

Standard with Every Stump Blind

As of 2023, the Phantom Windows come standard with each of our new Stump blinds. You can also add it to your older Stump 2, Stump 3 or Stump 4 models, including the ones on your own homemade blind. Check out our lineup of ground blinds, like the Stump Sequoia, to learn more about the blinds’ other features.

The windows come with the necessary pane, frame, hinges and latches, so you can put the window together right out of the box without needing to buy parts for it.

Whether you attach it to your own homemade blind or one of our Stump models, we hope it brings you success this deer season.
