Many hunters hunt multiple wild game seasons and could benefit from a permanent hunting blind that they don’t have to take down between each season. If you’re one of those hunters, we’ve got you covered. Our Stump blinds are made from a weather-resistant polyethylene material, so they can be used during any season. Check out this week’s blog to learn how Banks Outdoors can help you set up a permanent hunting blind for year-round success.

Weather Resistant

The polyethylene exterior helps your Stump blind recover if gets soaked in spring rain or winter snow. It will dry quickly, reducing the chance for mold to grow. The material is also UV resistant, so your blind won’t fade in the sun during the summer heat. It will keep its natural mossy shade all year.

If you have private hunting land, you can leave your blind up year-round without having to worry about regulations. Pick a spot that’s along the path between your Wild Water System and your Feedbank Gravity Feeder. Don’t hunt directly on top of either of them. Place your blind among the trees off to the side of the path. You can set any of our Scout blind models directly on the ground or elevate any of our other models with our Steel Tower System. You can choose from a 4-foot elevation, an 8-foot elevation or a 12-foot elevation. The tower is made with 8/12-guage steel, so it will be durable enough to handle the elements. The textured ladder steps and handrail will help you stay stable and keep traction as you climb the ladder steps. Our Deck Plate will give you a platform to stand on at the top of the ladder before you enter or exit the Stump blind. The platform is made from heavy-duty expanded metal, so rain and snow can melt and drip through the holes. This will help you stabilize yourself even in wet spring and winter conditions. It’s compatible with any Stump blind, our Tower System and wooden tower systems. Once you’ve set up your elevated blind, you can leave it on your property year-round and use it to hunt turkeys, deer and other wildlife during every hunting season.

State Regulations

Check your state’s regulations to see which public land areas allow you to leave your blind up year-round. Use our Steel Hitch to pull the blind off the property if you need to. It’s easy to use, so you’ll be able to hook the blind up to your truck or load it onto your toy hauler at the end of your hunt.

Keep in mind that according to Minnesota statues, any blinds left on public land are considered public property. So, any other hunter is legally allowed to use your blind when you’re not there. If you don’t want other hunters using your blind, make sure you install one of our Locking Door Handles. The handles attach to any Stump blind model and come with two keys, so you can keep one for yourself and give one to your hunting partner. Minnesota regulations confirm that you can leave a blind on state forest land overnight, but you must remove the blind at the end of each day on national forest land. If you leave it behind, forest management has the right to remove it.
