Hunting during the winter months and late deer season means you need to be prepared for colder weather. Deer season lasts through New Year’s Eve in Minnesota, so you need to be prepared for snow on the ground. You should gear up accordingly. Learn more about how our Stump blinds can be part of your go-to winter hunting gear checklist.

Take Your Stump Blind With You

Whether you’re staying in town or traveling out of state for your hunting trip, you can bring your Stump blind with you. Our Stump blinds have a rigid steel hitch, so you can hook them up to an ATV and easily move them around your property. If you’re taking it on a road trip, you can load it into a trailer or toy hauler. Check the state’s regulations about leaving a blind on public property overnight and plan accordingly. If you can leave it overnight, use our Locking Door Handle to secure it. Locking the door will ensure other hunters don’t use it when you’re not there and cause unnecessary hunting pressure or damage your blind.

Our Stump blinds have tightly sealed windows and doors as well as insulation, so you should be protected from the harsh elements while you hunt. The exterior material of the blind is weather-resistant so the snow will melt and dry without causing any mold damage or deterioration to the blind. Keep the windows closed and the cold air out. The windows open silently, so you can observe the deer through our Phantom windows without having to open anything until the last second. The Phantom windows have one-way viewing. The windows are tinted in every phase of daylight so the deer can’t see inside the blind but you can see out.

Use Our Multi-Function Hand Warmer

Banks Outdoors just released a new Multi-Function Hand Warmer for the 2024 hunting season. The tool is about the size of a small flashlight and fits in your hands. It can heat all the way up to 131 degrees. It has three temperature settings:

  • Low: 102-113°F
  • Medium: 113-122°F
  • High: 122-131°F

Use the hand warmer to keep your hands extra warm inside the Stump blind or use them to regulate your temperature if you’re hunting out in the elements on foot.

The device does triple duty as a hand warmer, LED flashlight, and power bank. The tool has two separate charging ports, each with 5,000mAh power capacity. One port is a standard USB and the other is a USB-C port. The device comes with a USB to USB-C charging cable.

So, not only will you be able to keep your hands warm during the cold, late-season hunts, you’ll be able to charge two devices at once. This is perfect for hunting with a friend or family member, you’ll each get your own window to hunt out of and your own charging port for your phones. You don’t want your phone battery to die while you’re out in the woods, so this is also a nice safety feature.

Bring your Stump blind and your Multi-Function Hand Warmer with you on your next cold-weather hunt to make sure you’re as comfortable on the hunt as you are efficient.
